MEET THE TEAM

CAPTAIN

I'm Aniah M, captain of The Prancing Panthers, born and raised in AZ. While I've called Arizona home, I've also had the opportunity to live and travel to other places around the world. As a junior in High School with a 3.8 GPA, I'm passionate about extracurricular activities like the Black Student Union, where I'm the vice president. Performing arts is my passion where I’ve participated in around 7 productions and have a great love for dancing. When I'm not busy, you can find me traveling, shopping, and eating.

CO-CAPTAIN

“I am 15 years old from Memphis, Tennessee. I’ve been dancing for about 4 years now. I’m a sophomore at BFHS. I joined majorette because I enjoy dancing and I loved watching majorettes in parades growing up. I plan on being a majorette at an HBCU as well as running track.”

I'm Taylor, a passionate dancer, smart student, and aspiring poet. When I'm not on the dance floor, you can find me diving into my studies and expressing my thoughts through the art of writing poems.

My name is Desnae J. and I’m in the 3rd grade. I’m a leader on and off the dance floor. I’m respectful and caring. When it comes to school I’m a straight “A” student and an amazing sister and daughter. I love to dance. I’m definitely the definition of a leader!

DANCE TEAM MEMBER

Hey I’m Amari. I’m originally from Memphis, TN, now living in Phoenix Az. I’ve been dancing since I was 6 years old. I aspire to be a Neonatal Nurse in the future and my plans after high school is to attend an HBCU and dance and/or run track.

DRILL MASTER

I’m 18 years old and currently a senior in high school. I’m passionate about majorette and dancing, and I’m dedicated both on and off the dance floor. I plan on becoming a coach in the future. I'm a great student and I have my sights set on attending an HBCU. I also dream of becoming a wedding planner and opening my own business. I have a goofy personality and I’m very creative, which helps me bring fresh ideas to everything I do.

DANCE TEAM MEMBER

I’m from Chicago, I’m in the 8th grade and I like to flip, draw and dance. I come from a long line of dancing, my older sister did modern dance, my mom and grandma both were majorettes. Being a part of a majorette team is something that I’ve always wanted to do and keeping my family history going.

DANCE TEAM MEMBER

I’m Mariah, age 11…my mom said that I’ve been talking since the age of 14 months. I’m from Brooklyn Park, MN and have talents that ranges from hair stylist, makeup artist, dancing, acting, and singing. I also like to have fun and enjoy life all while also feeling secure which is the most important part. I also did cheerleading for 2 years and enjoyed it. However, it lacked the individual sisterhood that I have developed with the Prancing Panther Majorettes.
